Job Goal: Occupational therapists work toward developing functional skills that allow students to access the general curriculum. The occupational therapist works with students with fine motor deficits to aid them in acquiring the skills or the compensatory skills in the areas of fine motor, sensory motor, visual motor and visual perceptual, and self-care.Performance Responsibilities: 1. Participates in the child study, referral and IEP process as requested and appropriate.2. Makes scheduling decisions for service delivery based on individual student and school needs.3. Utilizes an approach that encourages student participation in the least restrictive environment.4. Exhibits knowledge of clinical theory
