About Primary Eyecare Center
Primary Eyecare Center has been serving generations of families on the Central Coast for over forty years. The practice has locations in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero and offers an exceptional eye care experience in a friendly and comfortable environment. The practice specializes in primary care, infant and child eye care, low vision, management of ocular disease, myopia control, specialty contact lenses, and surgical co-management. To continuing supporting the growth of both practice locations, Primary Eyecare Center is looking to add a long-term Associate Optometrist to the team of 16 staff members.
This tech-forward practice is well-prepared to handle unique eye care needs and utilizes advanced technology to detect and treat vision and ocular conditions. The practice is equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment, including optical coherence tomography, Optomap, corneal topographer, and visual field technology. Patients enjoy browsing the optical boutique offering contemporary designer frames and traditional styles. In addition, the Opticians provide customized visual solutions using the latest technology in lightweight lenses, no-glare lenses, and progressive lens designs--plus, all products have an excellent warranty.
About the Full-Time Associate Optometrist Position
Primary Eyecare Center is seeking a full-time Associate Optometrist passionate about providing the highest level of patient care. You'll perform primary eye care, comprehensive medical eye care, and contact lens fittings--approximately 12 to 16 patients are cared for daily. A professional with experience in specialty contact lens fittings, including Ortho-k and sclera lenses, will be an asset to the team. You'll have the unique opportunity to care for various ocular diseases, patients, and special populations--while working alongside experts in a supportive environment.
Primary Eyecare Center is looking for a long-term Associate Optometrist who is a personable team player with a strong desire to build ongoing patient relationships. As a valued member of the team, you'll directly contribute to the continuous development and expansion of the business; for the right Optometrist, a potential future partnership or ownership opportunity may be available.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, excellent patient communication skills, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
Minimum qualifications include:
* Optometry license in the state of California * Medical eye care
Preferred specialties include:
* Experience in specialty contact lens fittings, including Ortho-k and sclera lenses
