About Yardley Vision Care
This established practice has served the residents and families of Bucks County for over 30 years and was purchased in 2011 by Sheila Maisel, O.D., MS, who brings more than 25 years of optometry experience. As a well-respected business in the community built on customer referrals, this patient-oriented practice has a strong focus on patient retention and excellent customer service, ensuring that patients return every year. Located in a picturesque setting inside a classic carriage-style house, patients can expect to receive a total eye care experience in a comfortable environment. The practice offers full-scope optometry, primary care, specialty contact lenses, and medical optometry, including glaucoma management and urgent eye care. To support ongoing practice growth and introduce complementary services, Dr. Maisel is looking to add an Optometrist to the team of seven employees.
Yardley Vision Care uses state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and vision correction products to diagnose and treat a wide array of ocular conditions. The practice is fully suited with top-of-the-line optical equipment and utilizes topography, visual fields, Nikon Autophoropters, Daytona OCT, and cloud-based software to manage health records seamlessly. Customers enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse the optical boutique offering a wide selection of frames to budget as well as cosmetic, lifestyle, and vision needs.
About the Optometrist Opening
Yardley Vision Care is seeking an Optometrist passionate about providing personalized and individualized care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care for all patients. You'll provide primary care optometry, promote healthy vision through patient education, and recommend vision-enhancing products--approximately 16 to 20 patients are cared for daily. The role requires 10 to 30 hours weekly. The practice is seeking a patient-oriented professional who brings complementary talents, is interested in exploring other ocular specialties, and is an excellent multitasker. For the right Optometrist, a future partnership opportunity may be available.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Optometry license in Pennsylvania
- At least three years of professional experience
Preferred qualifications include:
- Knowledge of specialty contact lenses
- Ocular disease management
