General Statement

Adjunct instructors will teach courses to a diverse student population on our main campus in Worcester and/or at additional satellite locations within our service area (i.e., Southbridge and area high schools).  Courses may be assigned for days, evenings or weekends, and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students.  Adjunct faculty will attend a limited number of faculty meetings.  

Early College Pathways adjunct instructors must be committed to working with high school-aged students and to teaching college classes in high schools across the region and/or at one of the QCC campus locations. Early College Pathways adjunct instructors will attend an Early College faculty orientation and participate in ongoing professional development throughout the year. Please note: Teaching schedules may vary by school district but are primarily daytime hours between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some limited availability of late afternoon/early evening or weekend assignments.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Masters' degree in the selected course content area or a related discipline. Interested applicants who may not meet the qualifications as stated above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them for the responsibilities of this position.
Preferred Qualifications

1. Advanced degree and/or related industry sector experience. 
2. Teaching/training experience.
3. High school teaching experience, and/or experience working with high school-aged students.
4. Documented examples of curriculum / course development and assessment; 
5. Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity in the curriculum as appropriate.
6. Ability to teach day, evening or weekend classes in more than one campus location.
