Job Description: GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, the purpose of the classification is to direct activities for the dual enrollment program and early college initiatives. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the dual enrollment program and early college initiatives including operations, developing program goals/objectives, overseeing and organizing work activities, coordinating budget preparation and grant administration, preparing/processing documentation, providing/distributing information, and managing records.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Coordinate operations of the Commonwealth Dual Enrollment Program (CDEP) and the early college initiatives, such as recruitment, application management, information sessions, budget management, and maintaining communication with guidance counselors.
- Develop on-campus recruitment and retention activities.
- Collaborate with the Grant Office to develop and submit annual CDEP application and annual report. Work collaboratively with the Grant Office in the development of budget narratives that detail recruitment and retention activities.
- Ensure compliance of CDEP awards and adherence to grant guidelines.
- Serve as liaison to Department of Higher Education for CDEP. Prepare mid-year and annual CDEP report according to state guidelines and adhere to all appropriate deadlines for submission.
- Collaborate with Enrollment Management and Strategic Communications to develop recruitment plan for dual enrollment.
- Serve as a visible leader in the Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Islands, and Plymouth areas in recruitment of dual enrollment students, visiting high schools and establishing relationships with guidance counselors and staff. Work in collaboration with Academic and Student Affairs to develop early college initiatives and partnerships with area school districts.
- Serve as primary advisor to dual enrollment and early college students; utilize case management approach to advise dual enrollment students. Develop academic plans of study based upon career objectives, placement testing, degree requirements, and other academic and personal factors disclosed by the student. Provide information on the college admissions process, credit transfer, financial aid, etc.
- Utilize College technology software and platforms to assess progress of students, provide extensive follow up with students and faculty on Early Alert warnings, document advising session notes, and schedule advising appointments.
- Prepare and disseminate reports to various offices as requested.
- Assist in admissions activities including on-site visits, application review, appointments, orientation, open houses, etc.
- Serve of College Committees as appropriate.
Job Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field with three (3) years of related experience and/or training that includes student activity planning/coordination, leadership development, and interpersonal relations, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated interest in and experience working with college students including diverse and/or underrepresented college student populations.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with high school students.
- Experience working at a community college.

Additional Information:COMPENSATION: Full-time MCCC/MTA Unit Position, Admissions Coordinator (Grade 6) with annual salary range of $64,615 - $84,909. Actual salary will be consistent with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program.
