The Board of Education requires a candidate who must: • Hold or be eligible for New York State certification as a School District Administrator or School District Leader. • Prioritize communication, effectively keeping the Board of Education well informed and maintaining open lines of communication between the school, parents and the community. • Engage the community in educational program planning and implementation and budget planning and implementation. • Lead collaboratively by working with stakeholders to build consensus and acting as a team player. • Constantly search for ways to improve the district and has a strong vision for creating continuous growth for all students. • Be a person of high moral character and unquestionable integrity who can instill credibility, confidence and pride in the school. • Be committed to upholding high professional standards and all school policies in a firm, fair and consistent manner. • Demonstrate successful administrative experience and a commitment to producing high quality educational programs that promote the development of engaged and successful students. • Possess the ability to maintain positive discipline and to command the respect of students, staff and the community.
