Education Specialist (ages 3-22) for TN-TAN Project

Regular, full-time, non-exempt position, funded through 2026.

The UT Center for Literacy, Education and Employment (UT CLEE) invites applications for the position of Education Specialist providing support to the newly conceptualized Tennessee Technical Assistance Network (TN-TAN). This Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE)-funded network provides school districts, administrators, educators, and families access to high-quality training, resources, and supports designed to improve outcomes for students with disabilities, ages 3-22.

Job Summary: In collaboration with the TN-TAN Project Manager and TDOE staff, the TN-TAN Education Specialist will lead and coordinate the work of subcontracted partner-experts in designing, providing, and evaluating in-person and online training, resources, and technical assistance delivered to educators and families. The selected candidate will act as a state-wide primary contact for all educator, family, and general public requests for information & assistance and provide them with referrals to project partners and online resources around issues of: inclusive preschool access, autism, complex behavioral issues, and tiered academic & behavioral supports (RTI²-A+RTI²-B). This position will also be expected to provide content expertise in these priority areas and act as coach, trainer, and consultant as needed to subcontracting partner-experts.

This position allows for primarily remote work, though occasional presence for in-person events and meetings may be required. Occasional evening and weekend work hours, as well as overnight travel within Tennessee, may be necessary.
