As an advanced professional in K-14 academic preparation, the Transfer Prep Director will independently work with assigned Community College and community based organizations to plan and implement a wide range of 4 year transfer preparation programming, develop, maintain program visibility. In addition, the Transfer Prep Director will maintain and cultivate relationships with higher education institutions and community entities dedicated to increase the number of under represented students prepared to transfer to a 4-year institution as well as to increase the interest in health careers.
The Transfer Prep Director's primary responsibility involves planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs, activities, counseling, tutoring and advising focused on students' successful transfer from community college to a four year institution. They will work with students, community college and high school counselors, school districts and community stakeholders to provide college advising and educational opportunities to transfer preparation participants. In addition, the director will oversee health science internship summer programming, and has the responsibility to keep records of the number of students served. The Transfer Preparation Director will also supervise and train Interns, Summer mentors, and lead summer STEM efforts.
