The basics of this position:
Performs duties necessary to oversee the development, promotion, and delivery of a district-wide program of open-enrollment personal and professional development including assessing and meeting the needs of the various communities and constituencies in the district. Plans a comprehensive program to meet assessed needs. Secures instructors, instructional materials, and contracted services to deliver programs and maintains a system of evaluation and continuous improvement. Ensures programs are delivered in an effective manner that minimizes costs and maximizes return to the college. Oversees student registration and student service processes. Directs grant activities in support of non-credit programming.
What you'll do:
• Directs the planning and development of continuing education offerings, including the development of new curriculum and new delivery methods. Researches target audiences for non-credit programming. • Has responsibility for revenue goal of more than $1 million. Directs the fiscal operations of the program of nearly $2 million annually. • Partners with college stakeholders, area school districts, community groups and local businesses to provide programming that meets the needs of our diverse community. • Plans and directs the systems and processes for registration, payment and customer support, including evaluating technology solutions to increasing efficiency. Responds to student service concerns. • Directs evaluation and assessment of Continuing Education programming. • Works with the Manager, Marketing Workforce Solutions Group to direct the development and implementation of marketing and promotion materials and strategies, including the use of e-mail, web, social networking, text messaging and other innovative ways of reaching the public. • Participates in strategic planning with Workforce Solutions Group and other college departments as appropriate. • Performs normal supervisory functions. • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education, experience, and other requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and over seven years of relevant experience.
