The School of Leadership and Professional Studies at Western Kentucky University seeks a full time, tenure eligible faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor for the Educaitonal Administration program. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate level courses in the program, teach doctoral level courses and support the development of dissertation research, conduct and publish research in the discipline, support and advise students, support program, department, college and university student success initiatives, and present at professional conferences in the areas supporting the program mission, vision and values as well as participate in recruitment and retention efforts. The successful candidate will be expected to support the School's priority for advancing student successthrough service and teaching unversity learning course sections. The educational administration program area develops students for careers in P12 administrtion with the flagship program in principal preparation. Other areas of certification include SOI, DPP DoSE and the superintendency.
Job Requirements:
A PhD in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration or closely related field or an EdD in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration (with a dissertation requirement).
Minimum three (3) years experience as an assistant principal, principal or district-level leader.
KY principal certification or eligible for certification.
Established research agenda or demonstrated potential to conduct research in the discipline.
Demonstrated ability or potential to develop and build partnerships with school districts.
