Salary: $128,224 - $164,819
The District contributes $16,662 annually towards any medical benefit plan selection. A monthly payroll deduction is activated to cover any amount over $16,662.
The Coordinator of Special Education, Related Services, is under the direction of the Director of Special Education. The Coordinator of Special Education, Related Services will direct, supervise, plan and coordinate various matters for the Special Education Department regarding the provision of related services and program improvement. Assist the Director of Special Education in developing and maintaining quality special education programs and services throughout the Palm Springs Unified School District.
Required: Valid California administrative credential authorizing service in this position. Five (5) or more years of successful teaching experience with increasing responsibilities at the site level. Administrative experience at a district or school site level. Master’s Degree. Character, personality, and social capability to relate and communicate effectively with staff, students and community.
The Palm Springs Unified School District has sixteen elementary schools, five middle schools, four comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, alternative education programs, one independent study program, and several headstart/state preschools. In striving to meet the needs of a diverse student body, the District provides a wide array of programs, including special education, instruction for English Learners, Career Technical Education (CTE), athletics, advanced placement, Title I, GATE, and many other services. Total student enrollment is at 21,500.
