To provide professional knowledge, administrative, and managerial skills in the planning and coordination of all phases and activities of special programs. Essential Duties:
Directly oversee supervision of GO Centers and mentors at partner local school districts.
Coordinate, plan and carry out special activities directly related to the program, including parent workshops, community outreach events, as well as orientations and training for new and existing mentors.
Assist in collection and analysis of data gathered from various program's components for reporting purposes.
Ensure mentors and other personnel bi-monthly records/time sheets are collected and processed for payment.
Provide presentations at different schools and organizations in the community to promote Go Center Mentor Program's events on media, including districts and agencies to further promote program's components and goal by attending meetings, workshops and training.
Devises and implements departmental programs and projects.
Provides direction and recommends improvements to program processes.
Supervises and coordinates the activities and personnel involved in assigned programs and projects.
Ensures program operations. Interacts with university departments, special groups and external agencies in administering programs.
Serves on various committees as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any field.
Three (3) years of experience counseling students in academic and scholastic matters, with a broad knowledge of institutional admission requirements.
Two (2) years of coordination of recruitment activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three (3) years of experience in Admissions, Recruitment, Residence Life, or Advising.
Excellent communications skills, including the ability to speak in front of large groups.
Computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office.
