BASIC FUNCTION: Serves as educational and community leader, and chief administrator for an assigned middle school with coordination of all school objectives, instructional programs, department chairpersons and teacher and staff assignments and evaluations, student activities, school plant operations, school's attendance area, and other responsibilities as designated by the District Superintendent or his designee. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: The Principal-Middle School is expected both to communicate and listen so that the goals of the school reflect the needs and interests of the school's attendance area which it serves. The Principal-Middle School is expected to know the parents and community and interpret it to district administrators in a valid manner.
