Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Mental Health Clinician III various School Based Programs within the North, Central and South Jersey school districts within Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
The Mental Health Clinician III provides comprehensive assessment, psychological/neuropsychological assessment for youth and therapeutic intervention for the psychological and social needs of child and adolescent clients (ages 3-21 years), including development of treatment plans, conducting individual, group, and family therapy, and providing case management functions.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides psychotherapeutic interventions/services in accordance with accepted professional and ethical standards of University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC).
Effectively collaborates as clinically indicated with other staff members, referral sources, community resources, families and support systems.
Administers high level diagnostic evaluations or specialized psychological testing as clinically indicated.
Consistently interprets and integrates information from multiple sources that may include psychological, personality, behavioral and intelligence testing materials.
Maintains and supervises the maintenance of clinical records in compliance with UBHC and Joint Commission (JC) standards.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's degree in mental health discipline.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work
