SUMMARY:
The Janson Lab at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow.
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct research inneurodegenerative disease. The fellow shall have technical and theoretical knowledge related to genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, immunocytochemistry. Hands-on experience with common techniques in molecular biology and fluorescence microscopy is required.
Specific tasks will include: design and perform experiments, collection and analysis of data, preparation of reports for peer-reviewed scientific publications, conference presentations, and grant progress reports. The fellow will have opportunities to mentor technicians and graduate students.
SUGGESTED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
· Ph.D. or MD degree (within 5 years) with major in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, neurobiology or related fields.
· Prior research experience in the areas of model organism system, genetics, genotyping and neurobiology.

Rowan University SOM was a part of New Jersey UMDNJ medical school system until the New Jersey Medical and Health Sciences Education Restructuring Act went into effect in 2013.
