The Program Specialist role within the English Learner & Multicultural Education Department at San Juan Unified School District in Sacramento, CA, involves a critical function in nurturing an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere for a diverse student body. The incumbent will assume responsibilities encompassing the design, implementation, and assessment of educational programs tailored to the distinctive requirements of emergent bilingual learners and culturally varied students. Maintaining close collaboration with educators, administrators, and educational partners is paramount, contributing to the formulation of strategies that advance language proficiency, cultural sensitivity, and academic achievement. The Program Specialist's contribution aids in shaping an equitable educational encounter that empowers students of different origins to excel and realize their utmost potential. Must possess a general administrative or supervisory credential. Must have experience in educational programs serving limited English proficient pupils. In addition, it is recommended that the applicant possess a valid teaching credential, CLAD authorization, and experience in conducting staff development.
