This is a full-time, tenure track position. Maintains a minimum of 6 office hours per week for student consultation and teaching 15 contact hours per week. Serves on college committees, participates in departmental and divisional initiatives.

Position Description and Duties:

Harper College’s Department of Mathematical Sciences seeks a full-time, tenure-track faculty member to provide instruction for a wide range of courses. The department is known nationally for its partnership with the area high school districts and its forward thinking with regards to corequisite courses and shortened math pathways for students.
Primary responsibilities are for teaching a minimum of 15 contact hours per week while maintaining a minimum of 6 office hours per week for student consultation. Participation in institutional, divisional, and departmental committees, shared governance, strategic planning, professional development, or other activities is also expected.
Educational Requirements
At least a Master's degree in mathematics or related field with at least 18 semester hours in graduate-level mathematics.
Experience Requirements
Mathematics teaching experience at the secondary or collegiate level is required. The teaching requirement may be fulfilled through a program of supervised teaching as a graduate student.
