Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona seeks an experienced full-time college counselor, beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, to advise students and provide resources for parents and faculty members regarding current trends in college admissions and financial aid. In addition to guiding students through the college admissions process, the college counselor also serves as students’ first point of contact for personal and academic support.
The preferred candidate will be an experienced college counselor or college admissions officer who is organized and attentive to detail. An outgoing and energetic personality that fosters strong relationships with students, parents, faculty, and college admissions officers is essential. Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively and persuasively, both orally and in writing, and preferably in Spanish as well as English. Candidates should anticipate occasional travel for college visits and conferences. Finally, candidates should not only demonstrate a passion for the work of college counseling but also for the mission and values of Brophy’s Catholic, Jesuit identity including the work of anti-racism.
