PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Associate Superintendent serves as the chief assistant and counselor to the Superintendent; he/she acts for the Superintendent, or on his/her own initiative, as spokesperson for the school district.  The Associate Superintendent will assist and develop educational and administrative policies and programs for recommendation to the Board and will interpret adopted Board policies through rules and regulations.  He/She will supervise, or cause to be supervised, the K-12 schools, instructional programs, instructional support services, and year-round school programs for the district. He/She will assist the Superintendent in working with both the educational community as well as other entities.  The Board of Education designates this position as Management.
