Under the supervision of the Director, Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (TK-12), plans, organizes, administers, and provides leadership for a comprehensive system of data, assessment, and accountability related to the requirement of federal, state, and local mandates focusing on high standards of student achievement.
Provides leadership to site and district administrators, teachers, and support staff in all areas of assessment, data, and accountability.
Supervises the administration of all district-wide assessments, including but not limited to standardized tests (e.g., SBAC, CAA, ELPAC, PFT, AP and District assessments).
Supervises and analyzes the District's program assessment data including the standardized testing program to further enhance the educational programs within the District.
Establishes and administers methods/procedures for collecting, analyzing, and reporting student assessment data.
Develops and delivers workshops for the purpose of facilitating proper test administration, interpretation, and utilization.
Provides timely reports on student data results to Educational Services administration and other staff.
Keeps staff current on development trends and integrates them into District needs assessment and programs.
Prepare and maintain a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, and files.
Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
Provides leadership and collaborates with site administration in assessment and accountability including the assessment of student progress and educational program effectiveness.
Monitors longitudinal data to emphasize student achievement trends and identifies on-going content area needs on a District- wide and/or site-by-site basis.
Prepares reports on student achievement specific to subject matter areas and grade levels to assist staff in responding to areas of growth.
Disaggregates data to allow in-depth analysis of District and site subgroups as they pertain to student achievement progress requirements.
Maintains accurate, up-to-date, and detailed records relating to status of District and site efforts to meet mandated student achievement targets.
Works with curriculum and instruction staff to develop or identify common assessments.
Assists teachers and administrators with analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting student assessment data.
Designs and analyzes surveys for use by school sites and District office personnel.
Assist staff with grant data requirements for implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Assists sites in analyzing and evaluating assessment data and using data to improve their instructional program.
Assists sites in developing and implementing interventions to support student learning and achievement.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university of higher learning
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university of higher learning
Valid California Administrative Services Credential
Valid California Clear Teaching
Valid EL Authorization
Experience:
Successful experience as an school site principal
Successful experience at the District level (desirable)
