Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs administrative support duties for the College of Education (COE).
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Performs administrative support duties. Operates as an in-person liaison for the Sam Houston State University (SHSU) Alternative Certificate Program (ACP) for the College of Education (COE). Rotates regularly through all districts the COE currently serves in consultation with ACP Director. Collaborates with the ACP Director in coaching and supporting assistant professors of practice. Facilitates implementation of key pertinent yearlong residency attributes and alignment into the ACP internship. Supports the identification and connection of new ACP pathway relationships. Pulls data for each Assistant Professors of Practice (APP) and interns for continuous improvements. Provides support to Assistant Faculty of practice working in school district sites. Collaborates with the Director of ACP and Director of Innovative Partnerships on communication, training, data collection, recruitment, and governance across residencies. Coordinates SHSU student recruitment efforts for the ACP. Supports scheduling the ACP Assistant Professors of Practice (APP) governance meetings in each district. Coordinates planning governance agendas with APPs and principals. Performs other related duties as assigned.
