ACES Program Manager/Student Engagement Specialist Provides leadership and direction for the Advocates for Communities and Education Scholars (ACES) program, including the recruitment, selection of ACES Scholars; budgeting and purchasing and oversight of the program in EHE; develops and provides programming for the ACES scholars, which includes regular evening and weekend hours; ensures students are meeting all of the requirements for the scholars program and closely tracks progress for each student, including making program dismissal decisions when necessary; attends meetings of scholars program managers; in consultation with the Director of Recruitment and Enrollment and leadership within University Honors and Scholars, develops and assesses learning outcomes and development of learning experiences; teaches ACES seminar courses; updates course materials and designs curriculum; responsible for ACES recruitment strategy and implementation; meets with prospective scholar students and families; assists with analyzing and reporting enrollment, completes annual review and maintains curriculum map of programming. In collaboration with the Director of Recruitment and Enrollment, develops and executes undergraduate recruitment initiatives and programs within the Office of Undergraduate Education. Supports campus recruitment events, prospective student appointments, prospective student phone calls and emails, and other recruitment-related activities. Engages with K-12 school districts for community building opportunities. Develops and delivers programming for the Education and Human Ecology Honors Scholars and Weiler scholarship recipients; serves as a supportive point of contact, meets with students both individually and in group settings. Scholars Support - Develops and delivers supportive programming for the Education and Human Ecology Honors Scholars and Weiler scholarship recipients. Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelors Level Degree or equivalent education and/or experience Desired Experience: A Masters degree is preferred in an appropriate field; a bachelors degree is required. A comparable combination of education and experience is required. Considerable knowledge or experience with student affairs, higher education, experiential learning, curriculum development, and community/university outreach. Able to demonstrate effective written and interpersonal communications skills.
