KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership Drive the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives, ensuring alignment and growth. Financial Management Oversee budgeting, fundraising, and financial planning to promote sustainability and expansion. Staff Management Recruit, train, and lead staff, fostering a collaborative and professional development focused work environment. Board Relations Partner with the board of directors to establish policies, support governance, and facilitate effective board meetings. Community Engagement Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including community members, donors, and partner organizations. Advocacy and Outreach Represent the organization at public events and champion its mission within the community.
GOALS
Sustain the organizations vision and mission.
Develop a sustainable funding model to support long-term objectives.
To assist in restructuring the organization as it grows, ensuring effective allocation of personnel and financial resources to achieve our goals.
Strengthen partnerships with research organizations.
Expand fiscal resources to support research and network growth, including the possibility of hiring three superintendent advocates across the U.S.
NOTE: This is a REMOTE position with nominal travel to support annual events
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
7-10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, particularly in nonprofit organizations and/or school districts.
Degree in Education, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
KEY SKILLS
Visionary Leadership Ability to inspire and mobilize teams and volunteers toward common goals. Communication Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at engaging diverse audiences. Fundraising Expertise Proficient in grant writing, donor relations, and developing innovative fundraising strategies. Financial Acumen Strong understanding of nonprofit finance, including budgeting and financial reporting. Problem-Solving Skilled in navigating challenges and implementing effective solutions. Storytelling Ability to compellingly convey the organization’s mission and impact. Implementation Focus Proven track record as a proactive implementer of strategic initiatives.
