Job DescriptionTeach graduate courses in the doctoral program; recruit, advise, and mentor students; assist students with program of study planning; chair and serve on student committees for Doctoral degree; participate in department, unit and university-wide meetings as needed, collaborate with school district personnel and with other university faculty; fulfill duties and responsibilities associated with a full-time, probationary position in the Educational Administration and Leadership Program.Instruct courses in varied locations and at varied times, in-person, online or hybrid and in either a semester or accelerated semester schedule.Minimum QualificationsEarned doctorate in Educational Administration/Leadership or related field.Demonstrated experience in the field of public-school educational leadership, or related field with doctoral level teaching experienceKnowledge of research methodologies, academic standards for empirical research, and best practices in dissertation advisementExceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to mentor and support doctoral candidates, collaborate with faculty, and facilitate constructive dissertation processes.Preferred QualificationEvidence of university teaching at the graduate levelEvidence of scholarship or the ability to produce/evaluate scholarshipEvidence of recent work in public school settingsProficiency in innovative teaching, research methodologies, and research facilitationProven experience mentoring and supervising doctoral students through the dissertation process, including research design, analysis, and academic writingA high interest/skill/experience in developing and teaching online courses.Other RequirementsMust be able to teach in-person and online coursesRequired Documents to Apply (Upload with Application)Resume/CVCover LetterThree (3) Professional References Unofficial Transcripts(Official transcripts will be required at time of employment)Position Information Appointment Type: Probationary/Tenure TrackSalary: Commensurate with experience and qualificationsWork Shift (Hours / Days of work)VariesAboutThe successful candidate will share St. Cloud State?s commitment to our mission, and in particular, the value we place in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as outlined in SCSU?s It?s Time strategic framework.
