The Rocky River City School District has an opening for a High School Principal for the 2026-2027 school year, at Rocky River High School. The Rocky River High School Principal serves as the school’s lead administrator and instructional leader, responsible for advancing high-quality educational programs, fostering a positive learning environment, and improving student achievement in alignment with district goals.

Valid Ohio Department of Education licensure as required for a High School Principal at the time of appointment.

Demonstrated experience in educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, and school finance.

Ability to lead instructional improvement using data-informed, research-based practices.
Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, fiscal management, and problem-solving skills.

Adheres to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.

Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.

Meets federal health screening requirements following a conditional offer of employment.

Demonstrated technology competencies appropriate to the position.

Administrative experience preferred.

Outstanding teaching experience preferred.

In-depth understanding of contemporary high school education.

Commitment to expanding and sustaining a culture of academic excellence.

Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
Experience developing a master schedule

Proven ability to mentor and develop teaching and administrative staff
