The School of Social Work seeks an outstanding colleague to join the fixed term faculty as the Child Welfare Programming Coordinator. This is a full-time, 12-month appointment with responsibilities in the following areas: 55% Service/Outreach, 24% Teaching, 15% Curriculum Development, and 6% Advising. The Child Welfare Programming Coordinator will have primary responsibility for the School’s child welfare certificates. They will also be responsible for the administration of the Title IVE program, including budget development and management, recruitment, student support, training, and tracking of graduates. The Child Welfare Programming Coordinator will teach courses in child welfare and advise students specializing in child welfare. It is expected that this person will build strong working relationships with community partners, constituents, and colleagues. The School of Social Work has a network of strong relationships with the child welfare research and practice community nationally.

Minimum Requirements
An MSW degree
Ten years post MSW child welfare practice experience, by start date
Five years of administrative or leadership experience in public child welfare, by start date
Demonstrated excellence in supervision and teaching
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
Michigan LMSW license
A record of practice in child welfare, child protection, or foster care services in the state of Michigan
Experience in developing, monitoring, and maintaining complex budgets
Experience with program or training development in child welfare, child protection, or out of home placement for children
Passion for growing the child welfare workforce
