The South San Francisco Unified School District is one of the largest unified school districts in San Mateo County with an enrollment of 7,833 students and approximately 1,000 certificated and classified employees. It is comprised of three cities – South San Francisco and portions of San Bruno and Daly City. The District is located immediately south of San Francisco off Freeways 101 and 280, which traverse north and south throughout the three communities.  The District has nine elementary schools, grades TK-5; three middle schools, grades 6-8; two comprehensive high schools, grades 9-12; one continuation education program; and an adult education and children’s center program.
