Under the general direction of the Superintendent, the Chief Business Officer (CBO) provides leadership and management over the business and financial operations of the district, and co-develops the budget with the Superintendent. The CBO is attentive to legislative changes in school finance and pursues new funding sources including grants, the development of public-private partnerships, and other business partnerships to support District programs. The CBO innovates in collaboration with the Technology Services Director to implement systems for improving efficiencies in district operations. The CBO provides direction to plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate the maintenance, operations, transportation, student nutrition services, and fiscal services programs including attendance accounting, budget development/management and control, and related support services. The CBO is assigned to represent the Superintendent and District on JPA boards, community advisory committees, and in interactions with other governmental entities.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
Five (5) years of business management experience OR proper California Administrative Credential
Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
Meet district standards for physical and mental health
A Master's Degree in Business Administration or a comparable field is PREFERRED.
