Position Summary
Full-time position under the Management Personnel Plan (MPP) available on or after July 1, 2023 in the Academic Affairs Division.
The Dean, Stockton Campus reports to the Provost/Vice President, Academic Affairs. The Dean is the chief administrative officer providing operational, fiscal, and strategic oversight for the Stockton Campus. Under the general supervision of the Provost/Vice President, the Dean serves as the primary liaison between the institution and community partners/stakeholders. The Dean is a member of the Provost's Advisory Council, is the primary advocate for the Stockton Campus and participates in the decision-making process for the entire division of Academic Affairs. In addition, the Dean, in collaboration with their administrative team, exercises overall responsibility for the academic and student support administration of the Stockton Campus. This includes academic programs delivered via stateside mechanisms and academic programs delivered through University Extended Education. In addition, the Dean oversees the daily operation of the Stockton Campus and serves as the liaison between the University and the Grupe-Huber Commercial Company in its role in the development of University Park. The Dean will also support the Vice Presidents for Business and Finance, Student Affairs, and University Advancement on a variety of administrative duties, including facilities utilization, student support services, outreach and recruitment, technology development, institutional marketing, and community relations.
The Dean works closely with the College and Library Deans, the Office of Graduate Studies, and University Extended Education on the development and maintenance of academic and certificate programs for the Stockton Campus, including academic planning, enrollment management, curriculum development, program delivery, and assessment. Furthermore, the Dean interacts and collaborates with the Grupe-Huber Commercial Company to serve the city of Stockton and the San Joaquin County region. The Dean is responsible for coordinating the Campus' long-range planning efforts and establishing collaborative and innovative partnerships with public and private educational institutions and with community organizations.

Education: Terminal degree (JD, PhD, or EdD)
Experience: Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in academic administration.

Salary Range
Anticipated salary will be $168,730 - $185,160 per year, plus excellent paid benefits. Salary will depend on the qualifications of the successful finalist.
