The El Dorado County Office of Education (EDCOE) is seeking a highly qualified Early Head Start (EHS) Home Visiting Coordinator to provide programmatic leadership, regulatory oversight, and staff supervision for its Early Head Start Home Visiting program. This position plays a critical role in ensuring full compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS) while maintaining high-quality, family-centered service delivery.
Early Head Start is a Federally funded program designed to serve income eligible families who are expecting a child or have children ages birth to three years old. It is a comprehensive program that partners with families to support their child’s growth and development.
Early Head Start recognizes parents as their child's first and most important teacher and incorporates everyday routines and home materials into learning experiences focused on promoting school readiness through social-emotional, cognitive, and physical and language development.
This role provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Early Head Start Home Visiting program, ensuring full compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and other applicable regulations. It supports audits, monitoring reviews, and continuous quality improvement efforts while maintaining strong program operations. The position also supervises, coaches, and evaluates staff, facilitating reflective practice and professional development to ensure accountability and policy adherence. In addition, it oversees data systems and reporting and coordinates with internal teams and community partners to deliver comprehensive services.
Program Administration & Compliance:
• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Early Head Start Home Visiting program
• Ensure compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and applicable regulations
• Support audits, monitoring reviews, and continuous quality improvement activities
Experience: A minimum of five years recent experience in Early Care and Education Programs is required.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field with a valid Child Development Site Supervisor Permit is required. Must meet Title 22 licensing standards. Knowledge of child development, family interaction and community resources is desired. Obtain and maintain CLASS reliability certification.
