About MCPS
Montgomery County Public Schools is an innovative and dynamic school district nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Montgomery County is home to the towns of Christiansburg and Blacksburg, and includes Virginia Tech, the Commonwealth’s largest research university.

MCPS educates nearly 10,000 students across four high schools, four middle schools, 11 elementary schools and one alternative program.
