The Okemos Public Schools district is situated in the south-central portion of Michigan's lowerpeninsula near Lansing, the state capital, and shares a common border with Michigan StateUniversity. Ranked as the number one school district in the Lansing area and number eight statewide by Niche in 2024 and 2025 and, Okemos provides educational resources to more than 4,900 students in an early childhood center, four elementaries, two middle schools and a high school across the district.
