Position Summary:

• Interacts with children and adolescents (ages 5-18 years) in a therapeutic, supportive manner.
• Provides appropriate supportive individual and group psycho educational activities in an effective and therapeutic manner.
• Designs youth development workshops and other activities that enhance the emotional and social development of students in collaboration with school district personnel.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and interactions with parents and students.
• Assures that the expressed needs and strengths of the individual served drive service delivery.
• Demonstrates awareness of co-occurring substance abuse disorders and cultural factors that affect patterns.
• Completes required documentation according to established guidelines and time frames.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Four (4) years of relevant full-time paid experience (part time and/or per diem experience may be substituted for the full-time equivalent) or a bachelor's degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field.
