Elementary Principal Pool (K–8)
Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District (Eastern Humboldt County)
Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District (KTJUSD) invites highly qualified educational leaders to apply for its K–8 Principal Pool. This pool will be used to identify outstanding candidates for current and future principal vacancies across the district. Principals serve as instructional and organizational leaders, reporting directly to the Superintendent, and are responsible for fostering high-quality learning environments that promote academic excellence, cultural respect, and student well-being. This is a Certificated Management position, exempt from overtime under Education Code section 45130.

Qualifications
- Valid California Administrative Services Credential
- Master’s degree in Educational Administration or Supervision preferred
- Advanced coursework beyond the master’s degree desirable
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in K–8 education
- Prior administrative experience at the vice-principal level or higher preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners
Leadership Expectations
Principals selected from the pool may be assigned to sites where they will:
- Provide strong instructional and curricular leadership
- Supervise and evaluate certificated and classified staff
- Support special education programs and inclusive practices
- Guide school improvement efforts aligned with district goals
- Foster positive relationships among students, staff, parents, and community
- Oversee facilities, budgets, programs, and site operations
- Implement and uphold district policies and state/federal program requirements
