Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent, oversee and support the following departments: CodeStack, Teachers College of San Joaquin, Early Education and Support, Comprehensive Health, STEM; as well as, Continuous Improvement and Support, and all other Educational Services departments and programs. Provide support and direction for YOUniversity.
Essential Functions
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
Work effectively with school districts, community organizations, government agencies, parents, students, and/or staff.
Maintain confidentiality on issues concerning program and staff.
Supervise and evaluate staff.
Participate, coordinate, or conduct a variety of meetings, staff development, committees, trainings, workshops, and/or conferences in order to present materials and information concerning department programs, services, operations, and activities. Represent the SJCOE at local, regional, and state meetings, conferences, in-services, boards, councils, and events.
Maintain current knowledge and interpret applicable rules, regulations, policies, procedures, contracts, state and federal laws, codes, and regulations
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Work independently with little direction.
Meet schedules and timelines.
Prepare reports as needed for program.
Maintain full knowledge of budgets and provide supervision of the fiscal functions.
Develop, update, and implement policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the SJCOE.
Serve as a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet and the Administrative Council.
Assume additional duties and responsibilities as necessary assigned by the County Superintendent of Schools.

Possess a Master’s Degree and a valid California Administrative Services Credential. Seven years of work experience in educational administration with a school district and/or county office of education.
